I was contacted via text message by an individual claiming to be a director (Holly Morris) from the NIIT Technologies Ltd and finding my resume with my personal information through an online source as I was seeking employment. I was informed of conducting an interview via Google Hangout the following day and chatted with the individual impersonating Ms. Morris throughout the process as this person offered me the position and a check to be deposit into my account in order to purchase materials necessary for the job. I started to have concerns, through which I asked for verification (such as a message via Ms. Morris' LinkedIn, Phone Call, ect) and though I obtained the phone call it was from a man claiming to be from security at NIIT Technologies. I told him that I would call my bank, cancel the check, and informed him to never contact me again. He threatened me with legal action and intent to contact the FBI. I blocked him on all fronts (Google HangOut and Via text messages from two numbers he contacted me from).
