I was contacted through text to regarding job opportunity and wanted to do interview through Google Hangouts due to type of position. Position was for Nielsen's Corporation as customer support for $30/hour. Position offered was a work from home position. They overnight me a check for $2,972.00 to buy supplies (laptop, Microsoft software) through their trusted vendor. They refused to tell me who the vendor is until I got further instructions after check was cashed and was expected to buy supplies immediately. They also refuse to talk to me over the phone. Said that I would get my offer letter and w4 once I had supplies purchased and ready to work. I didn't cash the check and didn't lose any money but I have a feeling that their "trusted vendor" was just another phone company to get the money back otherwise they wouldn't have tried so hard to get me to cash the check and purchase items from this vendor immediately
