A young lady, Katie R., posted in a facebook group that her company that she worked for, Nielsen, was hiring a couple of people to work from home. Pay was $30 hr. I googled the company and found it was a legit company. I messaged her for more info. She said to download Microsoft Team on my phone and gave me a code to use when connecting for interview. Once connected, a lady named Elizabeth Meador said she was the Director of HR and would be conducting the interview. She asked several general interview questions. Elizabeth then proceeded to mentioned that Nielsen is looking for 7 out of the 10 people hired to be promoted which the company will pay off employees debts and build good credit. She then asked if I had any debt, what bank i use, any credit cards, limits on cards and what cell service I used. Elizabeth then went on to state that the company would send me funds (either by credit card or bank account) to purchase from a third party vendor for equipment and software needed for training/work. After several minutes of her typing all this info, she then proceeds to tell me that I am highly welcomed to Nielsen Company. She asked for my basic personal information to send over to her secretary to get registered as an employee. She also asked that I send a photo of my license front/back with a current selfie to verify. After that she kept mentioned that the company would send me funds via direct deposit to purchase prepaid apple cards so I could purchase equipment/software needed. After I started questioning all of this, she sent me a photo of herself with a Nielsen badge trying to show it was authentic. I still questioned her and how it seemed like fraud and then she became short with her responses and then went silent. Now she has my personal information and copy of my driver license. I can't imagine how many other people this has happened to.

The first person introduced a potential opportunity, but then sent me to a recruiter, Elizabeth Meador Orean. She "interviewed" me, using a chat app called Signal, said I was a great candidate, then started asking for information. As she went along, she asked for my ID and then started asking for my facebook login then my bank account information, including the login information for my bank. I stopped talking as I had to go pick up my child, and she sent me her photo and a sob story, but have not heard anything further. She also could not explain why "other employees" use a visa card to pay for a vendor to install the equipment, but I had to get an apple gift card.
