I received information of a job opportunity to be a virtual administrative assistant through my email. Shortly after I applied for this job, I was notified by text and email address that I was welcome on the team, with no interview or phone call beforehand. The emailer was ****** ******* who then asked for my name, physical address, and phone number for a background check. *** ******* then emailed me with my list of tasks due for the week. One task in particular set me off to thinking this was a scam. I was emailed a certified e-check to donate to *** ******* foster home of choice. The check included the amount of my allotted payment for the week as well, before I had completed any tasks.
