I received an email that said that I was accepted for an interview for a remote position as a Video Editor for this company. I did not remember applying for the company but thought that I had just forgotten. I was emailed a paper "interview" and was "accepted for the position" the next day. The starting rate of pay seemed too good to be true, and the emails never had official contact details at the bottom. The acceptance email asked for my full name and residential address, contact number, and email address. Something seemed off about the offer, so I tried contacting the company itself to verify. I was unable to get through to anyone with any information. I also tried to look for any trace of this "job posting" that I had applied for, and never found it. Also, after looking at the website, most emails from Raytheon ended with @rtx.com. I found a post on a forum as well, where someone posted an identical email that I received, as well as a follow-up email that talked about sending a check to purchase "necessary supplies" for the job. Their email also asked for a copy of a driver's license front and back. After finding this information, I decided not to reply to the current email that I received. The scammer is also going by the name of a person that works at Raytheon, but this person has no relation to the HR or hiring department, it seems.
