I was looking for remote work when I stumbled upon the application for the Virtual Office Assistant. After the interview process I was given my job offer and told what my responsibilities were. But once I started they began asking me to open bank accounts under my name through Wells Fargo and cash app. They even had me open a Coinbase account. I kept asking why this was needed and never would get a response other then “Are you ready to work or not?”. I’m in training and I’ve learned nothing about what my job responsibilities were. They would transfer money into my account and transfer it elsewhere and wanted me to buy bitcoin as well. I was told that I would have to use my personal account to pay people which I fought back in saying that they should have their own company account to do these types of transactions. My schedule is 8:30am-2:30pm but this entire time I haven’t been trained or shown anything pertaining to the job I signed up for. All they have been doing is harassing me about my accounts and cards that should be coming in the mail. I explained to them that something doesn’t sit well with me but they continue to give round about answers. I have a mountain of emails of them asking what my information and account numbers are. I am worried about my personal information now. I plan on quitting but I’m afraid of what they will do with my information.
