I searched website for dachshund puppies for sale. I found Nextdaydachshundpuppieshome.com which showed cute dachshunds and at a price of $799. I sent them my name, address, phone number and email as was requested on the website. In approximately 3-4 days I received a text from them explaining they are retired military and are breeding dachshunds as a hobby breeder so they don't charge as much for their puppies. Then they described the dog and it is up to date on shots and is 11 weeks old and ready for a new owner. They asked where we live, how soon we want the pup. I responded that we would drive down to pick up pup and they asked to ship pup to us, which we declined. So I asked for an address, looked on scam websites, goggled the address and it all seemed legit. We arrived in North Carolina after driving 11 hrs and the homeowner said "oh no, you are looking for puppies.....they did it again. There are no puppies here for sale and we were the fifth or sixth family that have come to his house for these dachshunds! We are devastated and don't wNt you to be scammed or worse yet, send any $$ to these people.
