Received a sticky note left on front door that reads "sorry we missed you." There is a number to call. You have to enter the number listed as a "confirmation ID." After you enter this confirmation id on the automated system, a person comes on and asks you to tell them the same number that you just typed into the automated system. They will not answer any questions about who they are or why they left a door tag. They send you a text message and want you to click the link provided. I never clicked the link. I'm sure that it is not legitimate. After going to the ScamPulse.com website, I see others have experienced this scam and reported it also.

Left a "sorry we missed you" note on a newly purchased home with my information attached. I called as I was waiting for a very important delivery and did not think twice. "Sherrie" was confirming my info and then sent a link to my phone for security reasons and then needed me to confirm it. I went ahead and did then she let me know that it wasn't delivery and was multiple "new home offers". Once I realized what was going on I hung up and reread the note. They are selling my info to third-party telemarketers.
