I recently paid $850 for a corgi from nextday corgis.com. The guy was adamant about paying and it sounded good. He advised me the shipping company(Skyfast pet express) will contact me with final details. Skyfast Inormed me the crate was not covid friendly and needed a special shipping crate for as low as $1200 to $3500 (99% money return once pet was delivered) and it had to be purchased immediately as the last flight heading to ONT was leaving in 20 min and it had to be 2 zelle payments of 600 ea. I refused and called the seller. The seller kept reassuring me the company is good and if I didn't trust them, to pay him 1300( it's gone from 1200-1300) and the dog will leave tonight. I told the seller the plane already left based on the shipping company, the seller said he would go to the airport and ship tonight. After looking into the shipping company, I noticed the phone number that contacted me was associated with scams. I sent this info to the seller and he got very upset. I asked for a return and he told me no. I told him I would go to the authorities and he said "Ok, I will wait for the police". At least I didn't pay the 1300.
