I was contacted by New Day Home Loans on 03/30/21 in order to refinance my home by a Matthew. I was told to fill out a financial budget worksheet as well as the Borrows Certification and Authorization Form where my new loan details were laid out. I was working with Grant Fishburn who was the senior advisor. In that paperwork I included my husbands and I's Social Security Numbers, Address, and Date of Birth. I was then followed up with Grant after I sent my $1,870 in closing costs on 04/23/21. I was contacted again and was told to look up IRS publication 4681 regarding canceling debts and that I could settle my forbearance simultaneously with the refinance if I sent another check. After doing a little research on publication 4681 I mailed the settlement check in the amount of $6,444.85 on 05/21/21 I was followed up with one more time and told I would be reached out and that everything was being processed and I would be contacted when it was completed. Since then I've heard nothing and the phone numbers have been disconnected or no longer working. The only reason I'm even just now noticing is because I was told that my first payment would begin July 15, 2021 but I've yet to finalize anything and my mortgage company has yet receive any payoff requests from assuming mortgage companies. At this point, I've contacted my current mortgage company, the CMPD police, my bank , and even the receiving bank but there's seemingly nothing to be done since both checks have cleared (4/28 and 5/28) and the funds withdrawn.

I was left voicemails and followed up with on the following dates: 3/30/21, 4/1/21, 4/15/21, 5/10/21, and 5/17/21 I was also in email communication with Grant Fishburn ([email protected]) and my emails are going through but aren't being responded to.
