A employer from LinkedIn contacted me via phone and had me interview via Google Hangouts. I was told I was given the position as Administrative Assistant. I had to buy software for the position, and they sent me a check for $2,850. I received the check and my boss ordered me to deposit the check into my account. Immediately, $200 was available so she had me use Western Union to send the $200 to the vendor for the software. Today, the rest of the $2,850 was made available, and my boss told me to send the rest of the money to the vendor via Western Union. I tried to, but my account was restricted. I called my bank and they notified me that the check could not be verified and that it was probably a job scam. I have contacted my employer and asked if it was a scam, and she has not responded.

I was asked to download this google app to start the interview. He started explaining to me what the duties was and all. Then he asked me for my name and stuff so I asked he we'll tell me about yourself. I said I've been scammed in the past and I don't feel comfortable at the moment giving that information out. So he sent a message with what the company is and they trying to expand the company so they can open up offices. The main company is in Dubai. So I started answering the interview question. They never asked for my social security number. They asked question like what was your strengths at you old job what motivated you where do you see yourself in five years stuff like that. The information they ask you for is name address tel number and email. He said they need it to mail some papers to finish the hiring process and to fill out the W4 paper. He asked if I want to be paid in check or direct deposit I said check. He also asked for the banks name if I had one then he put NOTE I DIDNT ASK FOR BANK INFOMATION ONLY THE BANK NAME. I told him I didn't have a bank. Their wasn't no more question on banks after that. He said I need soft ware to do the job at home until they open office in my area. So they are suppose to send me a check to get the laptop and other things that I need to work. Suspicious to me. I don't know if they are scamming or not. They do have a site and all but it do sound too good to be true like I said they never asked for money, Social security number or bank account when I told them I didn't have a bank. Just be careful. Oh and the guy said his name was Albert Thomas with a picture of a caucasian man. I went through the whole step to the end. He told me to call him Monday at 8am to follow up.

I got a text message from a guy named Albert Thomas about a job this past Thursday. So I started chatting with him on hangouts and he was explaining everything about what all I be doing from home. He said that they will be sending a check in the mail to me so I can buy the equipment that I needed and I was to report to him to when I got it he also gave a tracking number. Got the check in the mail and as I got to reading it I notice something wasn't right with it. I called the bank where the cashiers check was issued and they said it was fraud, I messaged albert and told him that I got the check and he kept pushing me to go to the bank and deposit it in the bank and send them the deposit slips I told him that the bank was closed and he still was demanding me to deposit the check and he wanted me to try and do it online and I told him that the check was a fraudulent he wanted pictures of the check and I refuse to send it to him. At this time I was angry and I told him that the state police will send you a picture and don't contact me.

I am desperately looking for a job. I applied for all kinds of jobs. I received a text from a Mr. Albert Thompson as 386-601-2748 and he texted that he was the hiring manager for New Country Healthcare. Wanted to know if I would be interested in working from home. He requested that I go to Hangout on Google and he would send me a request. I went to Google and he connected with me and went through all the hiring responsibilities and what I would have to do. Then he said that they were opening an office locally and for the next 3 months would need someone in the area to work from home. He proceeded with the interview and I went on answering his questions. At the end he said I would be making 30/hour after the one week of training. He said to contact him Monday morning that he would contact me to give me the tracking number for the check he was sending me. After that I got real suspicious. I started doing research and at first could not find anything on it. Finally i found a woman that had gotten scammed the same way. I texted the phone number and told him I was not comfortable with this job offer and declined.
