New Age Structures Reports & Reviews (1)

- New Orleans, LA, USA

I met Adi Kapoor on Shaadi.com or right after I deleted my account - I was only on it for a few days and changed my mind. He initially called me on May 6th, 2018 around 7 or 8 pm. I didn't know who it was, spoke to him for maybe 15 to 20 minutes and hung up. I ended up texting him two days later to get more information; he said that he matched profiles so wanted to communicate with me. He mentioned that he was speaking with two other ladies - one divorced and just wanted to have fun and the other lady was Muslim and wanted him to convert religions - both he didn't want to deal with anymore since enjoyed talking to me and only me. We ended up talking to one another everyday either on the phone at specific times or chatted on What's App. I thought we were building a relationship although it was long distance. He said he is originally from the UK but moved to San Jose, CA for work. He said that he is the CEO of his construction consulting company, New Age Structures. He is an only child; his father died when he was little; his mother lives in CA in her own home, which he takes care of everything for her. He said he was engaged four years ago, but she got sick and passed away. He just now got over it and wanted to find a new special person to share his luxurious life with. He planned on visiting me in June - even sent me a confirmed boarding pass. The night before his arrival, he said he was not able to make it as the site inspectors have delayed their inspections. Oh, he is working on the biggest project of his life - had gone to Washington, D.C. for a meeting for a bid for a government project. He managed to pull together almost 4.5 million dollars but was short - asked friends for help and even his mom for 30,000 from her account. I ended up forking over 11,000 dollars so I could help him get to his goal. He said that he just needs to show the amount to get the bid and the money would be returned soon. I was very hesitant to do all of this but with much convincing and words of love and future and all that good stuff, I caved in and went to the bank to make two different wire transfers to an account that belonged to his PA, Amapola Antonio, in San Antonio, TX. Yes, I saw red flags everywhere but I thought I was helping the person I thought I was in a relationship with. I shared this with no one per his request - like our own little secret. We had many talks about how I shouldn't have sent anything to him but he got me to calm down each time. There was only one instance where he got somewhat upset and raised his voice to me. Maybe after doing this to so many women, he realized that doing that doesn't work especially since he asked for money twice. Many pictures were exchanged and am hoping he doesn't have access to them anymore. He sent me pics of him with friends and even his mom - if that's even her. He did all of his studies in the UK - graduated as a civil engineer. He owns his three bedroom home in San Jose, CA. Drives a Mercedes and may have another vehicle as well. He told me his birthday is April 13. I played 20 questions a few times with him to get more information, learn about this new man in my life. He focused on making sure I was happy and calm. He told me he loved me a week and a half of talking....I thought was weird...he got me to say it to him a week later. Although I was in the moment, I think deep down, I knew I didn't really love this person. July 12th is the last time I spoke with him. I had recently sent him many texts on his phone and on What's App pretty much backing off since our communication had dwindled. He was out late even on weekdays. Didn't call or text to say when he got home - as this was our thing - he was rather controlling but I took at as looking out for one another. Always sending little love memes - he talks a good game, very charming person. He is probably on his next victim as I type this up. He disconnected his phone on July 12th as when I called, it would just beep over and over. No ring then voicemail as if he blocked me. The phone is back on and someone else now has that number...maybe? So, of course, I started blaming myself for getting upset with him. Every now and then I would Google the name of the company, nothing. The only social media he said he had was LinkedIn - he popped up one day, then not. I checked it on July 22nd and low and behold, there he was but under a different name, Ajay Sidhu. I went to the bank immediately to close my account and start the recall process for one of the transactions as the other one came back non refunded as the funds were no longer in the account he gave me. I have contacted the local police and an investigation has begun. I emailed Shaadi.com but they claim they check everyone that is on the site. There is no way since there are hundreds if not thousands of complaints of scams from their website. I feel embarrassed and funny enough heart broken that this has all happened - all within a little over two months. I told my parents about this potential person as he was like I want to meet them, your friends, etc. He's gotten good with his same story as I saw a similar account on this site - Mani P - which happened in February 2018. I have been violated in many ways but am glad that I never met this person in real life. Things could be much worse. This is one of the pictures he's using on LinkedIn if he pops up again. Please beware of this scam as I didn't realize it or believed that this was happening until after over two months.
