I have received 4 calls in the past 2 days telling me I am being served papers for a 2003 cable/landline/or cell phone on an account from Z-Tel Communications. In 2003, I had a company cell phone, and a home phone thru AT&T. The initial amount they claim I owed was $1,453.43. Then they reduced that amount to $653.40. And then they reduced it again, as a 1 time payment of $522.00. I have never had any services thru Z-Tel, & according to the info I looked up online, the ScamPulse.com said this business was closed years ago. This has come to the point of harassment, they have threatened to garnish my wages, I am on Government Disability for Post Polio & Congestive Heart Failure. They are now calling from 469-498-8377, & advising me to call 844-767-8246. I also looked up the last number to find it on a scam list of numbers. What can I do to end these threatening calls. I was reduced to tears yesterday, today I am just plain MAD! Beware 844 area codes!!
