I was contacted by an “April Freeman” with an email saying I was shortlisted for a job as an Administrative Assistant. The initial email did not contain any name of a company or contact info for a company rather just instructions for the “interview/briefing process.” Said interview was conducted on Google Hangouts where a real company’s information was given. I was offered a job with high pay that would also be “work-from-home” for a while. Luckily I contacted a rep. from the actual company on its website and they informed me that the offer letter sent to me was not a valid company offer letter.
