Text Message reads: Your Netflix account will be locked because your payment was declined uc09i.com/RK0cdni1Ka.

- Dallas, TX, USA

They send text saying “your Netflix account will be locked because your payment was declined”. With a link and when you go there it wants you to set up a new account

- Harker Heights, TX, USA

I received a text message stating, “Due to Covid-19, Netflix is offering everyone a free 1 year subscription to help you stay home.” And it contained a link. Upon clicking the link it takes you to a website that has the Netflix logo and look at the top and states to “click here” to redeem your code. Then it takes you to a website called cinemadelight.com

The look changes (green instead of Netflix red..) and it says you will not be charged but you must choose your preferences and you must make an account to verify your age. An account includes your credit card information.

I got a text message from someone claiming to be Netflix. contacted me and said i would get a year free of subscriptions and i had to go on the link and go to the prompts. the prompts end up asking for 17.00 after looking at the phone i remember that they said it would be free. so i called and cancelled, so i called Netflix and they saw the email and saw where i had paid the 17.00 and stated that they will be refunding me the money within two business days.

update: the number that was used to cancel the service may also be a scammer. they saw the transaction where the money was taken out and got credit card info saying they will cancel the subscription. Netflix would have no way of knowing any of this information (the scam transaction)

This one continues to get sent to my email address. I do not want to see these. I have notified Telus too, but get no response from them about what they can do.

We received an email claiming to be NETFLIX. An absolute phishing scam aimed at getting personal/banking information since the email asks to update payment information. Screenshot of email attached here

My ex husband received this email and forwarded it to me. It is my Netflix account.**Re: [Notifications] [Summary Account Subs] Latest update of your payment account received on at Sept, 2020

-The Netflix Team There are misspelled words. The lower portion of the email where the lettering is smaller they have a Help Centre help.netflix.com (hyperlink). Also to change email preferences visit the CommunicationSettings (hyperlink) page on your account. My account is on auto draft with a credit card that is a visa/mastercard but was already auto drafted out earlier this month and not due till beginning of next month.

Recieved a text message from an email address ([email protected]) claiming to be Netflix telling me that my account would be canceled on May 1st 2020 and asked me to click the link for more details when I click the link it ask for my email. After entering my email it takes me to a page and asks for full name and address and once entered it ask for debit or credit card info. I entered a fake name and email and it still asked for my debit info and it said it the site was not secure. It was not Netflix. And also I didnt enter my debit info and my Netflix is still working fine.

Received this text on Mar. 28 after I had renewed our subscription to Netflix on Mar. 27. I ignored it as we were having access to Netflix. See also second report to follow.

Received text:

(Netflix/CA,) Subscription on hold due to our user policy please use this secure url: 190.115.30.197

I received a bizarre text claiming to be from "Netflix" stating that my payment was denied. Knowing Netflix would never text me since they don't use sms for reports, I didn't touch the link on my phone, and instead opened a virtual machine and analyzed the links. The first page has legit help links that lead to the real Netflix, but the main one sends you to a formn3t-flix/alldetails.html page. This page has broken links at the bottom, and the "Forgot your email or password" just sends you back to the broken "login" page. The images didn't even load properly. Even if it's quick, its obviously a scam when the page link doesn't even lead to "Netflix". Likely, someone copied the CSS and HTML from the real Netflix page, pasted it onto a cheap domain they bought, and then redirected the login to submit or log credentials elsewhere. What could be stolen are, email, passwords but potentially payment card information and billing addresses, or someone looking for free Netflix accounts to use or sell.

they are sending out this message, that your monthly payment from Netflix didn't go through, you need to update your account information to avoid suspension

I was trying to call Netflix and I dialed (800) instead of (1-866) prefix and the people who answered the phone pretended to be Netflix. I gave them my information thinking I was calling Netflix. They deceived me. They took out $4.98 from my account. The number of the agency that took out the money is from 1-800-370-1250. This is a scam.
