Scammer sent me email saying my Netflix account expired. And it looked like it could have been an email from Netflix. Within the body of the email it said credit card would not be charged but was needed for identification purposes only. As soon as I put in my credit card information I was charged $189.95 for a subscription to a place called "Healthy Habbits Hub 2024". Which does have a web site with contact information, a refund policy, and an avenue to register an account to begin purchasing items. However, the entire web site is a scam. None of their contact info is legit and it's not possible to register an account.

I googled Customer Service for Netflix. This number came up. 877-421-4001. The person I sought support from wanted remote access to my laptop and wanted me to download the app anydesk as well as another app. They said someone used my Netflix password, but I didn't share it with anyone. I don't even know it by heart myself. When I got a legitimate Netflix customer service number and person, they said they would never ask for remote access to a device. They did say that the number above was a Netflix number for customer service. I asked them to report it and take it down.

Netflix phishing scam going around. Thought this email was strange. Verified scam by calling Netflix. Viewed senders email address, it showed something weird.

This is not legitimate. I thought twice about it, but checked my credit card statement & my bill was drafted on 7/27. Knew it was fishy!!! But they’re get slick.
