I received an email from Netflix to update my billing information, it didn’t dawn on me as I was in the process of making changes and updating account from my NY address to fairbanks AK address and only when I it submit after entering my social security number, I realized what might have just happen, so immediately I called Netflix and told them what happened and they said they never emailed as my billing information is ok, I then contacted my bank because I also gave out my debit card number grrrrr then followed up calling equifax who also alert the other fraud department

- Green Bay, WI, USA

Email from Netflix - telling me my account was on hold there was an issue on my payment.. I could retry payment or set up a new payment plan. Of recent I needed to change my debit card due to software update from my bank. Thought it maybe the issue. I provided all my new information to the website including my SS #. My daughter asked me what I was buying, she told me it sounded fishy. I then called Netflix and found out this email was not from them. Had cancel card, call 3 credit bureaus to report fraidy and security on SS. Hopefully covered all my bases before they could access any of my accounts or activate any new accounts.
