I received an email yesterday and when I read it, I knew something was very wrong. I called the number they listed and spoke with some guy and he told me to download an app; something like…netdesk. I downloaded it and then he instructed me to read the 9 digit code off and after that, to accept for him to have access over my screen. As soon as he told me that, I immediately stated, “This is illegal and you’re scamming me!” I hung up after that. The emails states that there was a transaction for Ashley furniture for $691.66 and he also stated that there were two more transactions that will be pending soon for the amounts of $399 each. Please help me with this. I do plan to report to the police and BBB.
