I was sent an email about the Annual Report from your business. Not sure how I was put on your email list because I’ve never subscribe to this website. I thought you were affiliated with the Secretary of State and paid the Annual Report filing fee of 399.98. I thought for sure the price had went up from the typical $202.00 that I filed in the past years. I didn’t think I had time and rushed through the process and made the payment but once I saw it was filed on the 4/16 and not the 4/15 and I didn’t get a receipt I started to look more into this. My Annual Report has been filed but I don’t have any receipt of my purchase. The price is almost doubled what it cost to file which is $202.00. I would like the other half refunded. This is not a good business practice to portray as a government entity and put rush noticed to my email that I never subscribed too. I would like a refund of my payment. I will go ahead and file a dispute with the bank but this is not a good business practice.

They email you telling your annual report filing is due and they look very much like a legit government agency both in their email and in the website you are guided to.

To remain "active" and compliant with state regulations, all businesses are required to file annually. Additionally, you may need to update your Labor Law Posters to reflect the changes for 2025.

In an email a company North Carolina Business Filing Center with .org extension impersonalized official .gov site and collected payment filing annual report without making it abundantly clear that they are a third party and are collecting an almost 200$ fee for their services

There was a flyer mailed to my house from the North Carolina Business Filing Center. The information on the flyer was technically true, and they do perform the service that they offer; however, they do not indicate on the flyer that the service can be done on your own and for free very easily. They are taking advantage of new business owners.
