We were contacted by a man with a heavy accent who called himself Sebastian Jones who called me after I had applied for several loans online and said that we had been approved for a loan without any credit check. The loan amount would be $10,000. Mr. Jones said that we had to pay a fee for taxes for the loans. He advised that they are affiliated with Amazon, so we needed to get an Amazon gift card for the amount of $380.00. When we went to go purchase the cards the Mr. Jones asked us to split it into 2 transactions. When we explained to the cashier that we needed to split it into two transactions she asked why. When we explained why she wouldn't do it and told us that this was a scam. Thank goodness for the cashier at CVS otherwise we'd be out $380.00.
