I was offered an On-line Job to work from home. The name of the employer was Michael Navarro CPA with the firm Navarro Accounting & Consulting Services in Los Angeles, California. I was originally contacted via email ([email protected]) and afterwards by phone [661-731-3052]. I was offered a job as personal assistant with a salary of $700 weekly. A check for the amount of $4,850 was mailed to me to pay for the necessary office equipment required to perform the job. A vendor from Wema LLC(Zak) contacted me asking for method of payment for the equipment in order to be able to send the equipment home.

On May 11, 2022 I deposited the received check from Michael:

After depositing the check I wire transfer Wema LLC $4,143 plus service fee of $20 was charged to my account.

On May 13, 2022I checked my account and I noticed the funds from the check were fully released into my account. On May 16, 2022 while checking my bank account I noticed an overdraft since the deposited check was returned (no funds). I went to the bank to verify what was the problem. The bank officer realized I was being scammed and started an into it.

I texted my supposed employer to let him know about the lack of funds to the check, and received a reply back he was going to look into it. No further communication from supposed employer or vendor have being received.

A family friend who work for the FBI recommended me to file a complaint on IC3.gov
