My vehicle is for sale on ksl.com and I was contacted via text about the sale. The individual expressed interest in my car and said I needed to purchase a vehicle certification from NationWideVin.COM in order to prove the vehicle's title was clean.

The site (NationWideVin.COM) is not real and charges $25 for their false vehicle certification.

I did not buy the certification and upon confronting the texter, no response was later received.

I was texted by an individual calling himself "Tommy" that expressed interest in a vehicle I have listed for sale. He said he needed a car urgently, as a few precursory questions about the condition of the vehicle, and said that the price was fair and that he could pay in cash, wanting to meet up the next day. Then he asked for the NWV information, to which I asked what that was and he directed me to www.nationwidevin.com, a website that for a fee purports to provide some information about the vehicle's title. I felt this was fishy, researched online, and did not purchase the report or continue interactions with the man.
