These scammers have been calling me for months about health insurance from the "health insurance corporation". When asked they said Nationwide, which is hilarious, as Nationwide doesn't even have health insurance. They call again and again, even early in the morning. They don't do a very good job about scamming, as they will not give names or information, have the wrong company, and lose their tempers easily, or will just ask the same question over and over again. It's super funny because they use different names, but the voices are the same three or four people, especially a woman with a thick accent who calls herself a million names, and does not seem to have an understanding of when her cover is nakedly blown. Not a super dangerous scam, as they aren't too bright and can't really keep their cover, or story, straight. But, they are extremely annoying.

“Kevin” from “Nationwide” called me using a fake caller ID number offering free home renovations.

Phone call and voicemail to collect a debt

I have never heard of these people!! It must be some sort of scam! Please investigate them! (Received a letter from Nationwide about a Settlement Contest for $75,000. Enclosed was a check for $1444.73 from Michael Burns at ***.)

Victim was sent a letter, including a check for $1453.27 from Nationwide . The letter claims she won $75,000 and would need to deposit the $1453 check. After depositing the check, she would need to call 604-753-2654 for further instruction. She did not deposit the check but called the number. The person she spoke to said this was on behalf of Publisher's Clearing House.

I spoke with Nationwide Insurance Company about my home insurance. Immediately after hanging up the phone, the phone rang. I answered the phone because the ID said Nationwide. The person on the line asked me if this was Richardson speaking and I said yes. He asked me was I using my timeshare, I said yes. I became suspicious and ended the call.

Received a letter in the mail addressed to us that appears to be from Nationwide Insurance, on letterhead with Nationwide's true address. The envelop had a Canadian stamp on it, and the phone number on the letterhead is a Canadian telephone number. The header says "Nautre of Funds: Settlement Contest" and states that we have received a settlement of $75,000. There is a check in the envelope for $1,468.50 and the body of the letter states that the check will only be active once the sender verifies identity via phone. It also states "Due ot safety restrictions and policies we cannot disclose any further details concerning the settlement in this letter, this is why we strongly urge you to contat you agent listed above". The name in the footer says "Eric Banks" but the signature does not match that. I saw this letter on the Georgia ScamPulse.com website, with the same exact signature, listed as a scam.

I received a call from Stephanie Miller saying she works for Nation wide capital or credit service and I was approved for an online loan I applied for. I do not remember applying for a loan with t his company was I was advised that I probably applied through one of their sister companies and it was forwarded to their office. I called Stephanie Miller back twice and was told both times that she was not in. I spoke to a guy who told me that they could lend me the money but I had 3 options. 1. Pay $1250 upfront which consisted of liability insurance for the loan in case I did not make my payments and if I became sick, then my monthly payments would be covered. If I could do this then they would put $20,000 into my account within 2 hours. 2. option is to have a co-signer sign for my loan. 3. option was to pay a monthly fee towards a loan to help rebuild my credit and then at the end of the term I would get my money back.

i am very hesitant about how they got my information and why they ask for money upfront.
