Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

I received an invoice from National S.E.O. Marketing for the amount of $1689.46. The gentleman said this was from 2013 and that I had talked to him in August about paying this. He stated if I did not pay today, I would have an extra $700 to my bill. I do not recall talking to him or okaying this ad. This was received on 11-25-2015. He just called and said as I had not faxed a check, it was being filed in Court on Thursday, November 26, 2015 (thanksgiving day)
