I received a call on my home phone from this number: 206-708-2849. It was a recorded message, saying I had to call back about an "urgent legal matter". When I did, a man said he was from "National Legal Sevices". He claimed his agency had been hired by the IRS and the U.S. Treasury. He said I had made a " miscalculation" on my taxes. I had to provide him with the name and phone number of my attorney, so "we can get this matter resolved". If I didn't do as he asked, a warrant would be issued for my arrest. I'm assuming that if I did give him the name of my attorney, the next step would be for me to provide my bank account information etc. I responded that I had not received any notice from the IRS by mail. I said "this is a scam". The man became verbally abusive and threatened to send the police right away to my house to "lock me up". I said "go ahead". He hung up the phone.
