National Disability Reports & Reviews (39)

I’ve received over 5 months worth of calls 2 and 3 times a day from these numbers located in the Upstate of South Carolina. An Amy or a Joe always answers. They call themselves National Disabilities and they read from a script. You can’t interrupt their reading with a request or a question. They say that you requested disability payments through a job search website then ask for more info so that you can receive payments. If you ask for their business information such as an address they disconnect the call. If you state that you never requested disability payments they disconnect the call. If you ask them to stop calling they disconnect the call. I have blocked the 40 numbers, but I keep receiving calls from them from new phone numbers. I redialed each blocked number to re-verify the numbers were related. Amy answered once & Joe answered once and the other 37 numbers rolled over to an answering machine that does not identify the business but gives 2 choices, speak to an agent or be placed on their Do Not Call internal list. I believe they have blocked me for the day... I did not select either choice, for fear of being placed on another list. This Scam needs to be stopped!

If you block one phone call, it goes on to the next digit. I have received calls from "Hannah" at these phone numbers:

312-535-5035 through 312-535-5075, that is 40 different phone calls.

They also use the phone numbers: 312-767-5332, 312-767-4240 (mobile), 312-767-5801, 312-767-1584, 312-767-3301, 312-767-6542, 312-767-3254,

So the main phone numbers begin 312-535-xxxx OR 312-767-xxx

Reported the phone numbers to the FCC, but they cannot block the phone server.

Their email is [email protected]

We are a disabled Vietnam Veteran household, and they call at all hours of the day and night, not allowing legitimate phone calls from the VA Hospital through.

They said I had expressed interest in social security benefits, but I haven't and I'm not nearly old enough to anyway. Then they asked if I can hear them alright.

- Shelby, MT, USA

Sounded legit. Very polite. Said "hi my name is Joe and you are on a recorded line. Our records show you recently signed up for social security disability, can you hear me ok?" I said "yes i can and no i did not" but he hung up before "no i did not."

I did not think before I answered. Now I don't know what to do.

- Idaho Falls, ID, USA

I had received the call saying something along the lines of "this is (insert name) from National disability is this (insert name here). I responded with (Yes), and he hung up. I know there are many scams out there and I am not sure if this is a scam or not. Considering that they hung up after I said "Yes" I believe it is a scam. I Have tried calling back and I get an automated voice that directs me to a person to talk to or to be removed from their call list. I tested option 1 to talk to an actual human, but I get a response along the lines of "This phone number has already been helped (call ended)." forgive my poor grammer

I got a call on my cell # from a Joe at National Disability. He asked if anyone in my household had filed for disability. I did not give out any information, as the call raised a red flag. I contacted BBB and am reporting this.

Receive calls about filing disability claim with social security

- Plattsmouth, NE, USA

This is a scam to gain personal information. I was asked if I applied for SSD, and also the famous can you hear me scam.

The guy said he was national disability and his records showed I recently made a disability claim then he asked can you hear me. I said yes realizing after I did it that I had heard about the scam now I want to know what I need to do...

- Grand Ledge, MI, USA

They called saying they were from the national disability bureau and that I had inquired recently about disability and receiving social security benefits for it. I immediately thought someone fraudulently tried applying for disability and wanted to make sure no one was. I said yes to something and then a few minutes later hung up. I called back cause I thought it was suspicious and when I called said it was the national disability number and when I said I want to make sure no one was fraudently trying to apply it kept repeating a phrase until it hung up on me again. It was very sketchy and suspicious and believe it is apart of can you hear me now scam.

Asking if I recently had an inquiry to National disability?

It was a recording (looping)

- Shelby, NC, USA

Phone call saying I had inquired about disaiblity benefits. When I said I had not, caller hung up.

I called to sign up for social security and disability with the local SSI office. Then received a call back from the number above and they started to ask questions to see if i qualified for disability. they were asking how old I was when I have given the information to the correct office previously. They put me on hold and they had funny "on hold" music. I knew it was a scam and hung up the phone. I talked to my lawyer who is a SSI attorney and he didn't know what company it was with.

Amy from National Disability claimed I'd recently applied for disability and that I qualified for $2,600 monthly. She wanted to pre-qualify me and needed my date of birth. Then she wanted to ask me a list of other personal questions. I answered none of them. I told her I was recording her questions and then she hung up.

I received a call indicating that I had applied for disability with social security, which I had not. When I answered the automated call that NO I had not, I was told that someone in my household must have done so, to which I answered NO. I was told to "have a blessed day", and the call ended.

When I called back to find out who may be using my ID and/or Social Security Number in this way, I again was placed into an automated communication queue. I was asked for my birth date, to which I did not respond. I continually asked to speak with a representative and was disconnected.

I received several calls from a unfamiliar number. When I answered the call, a person introduced himself as "Scott."

He said that he was calling to assist with my request for social security and disability payments per my request. I explained that I have never made such a request.

He said that he could help with my disability forms despite me explaining that I was not interested.

When I asked what company he was calling from, he hesitated said "National Disability."

I then asked for a mailing address or website and he said that he was not able to provide that information. He asked why I needed the information and I said that this call seemed like a scam and that I wanted to learn more information about the legitimacy of this "business."

He said that he could only help with paperwork.

At that point, I told him that since he was unable to provide any further information, I would report this as a scam to the ScamPulse.com.

I later blocked my number and tried to call the incoming number that I received when the initial call came in. The call did not go through and failed because the number is somehow bogus.

These types of cold-calling scammers probably fool older and vulnerable people into providing their social security numbers over the phone.

I do not believe that he actually knew who I was because he never used my name. I really hope that you can do something about this because I would hate for innocent people to be taken advantage of. THANK YOU!

while checking my missed phone calls I noticed two unfamiliar #'s (541-948-8331, and 360-450-2246).I called the 541# and got a recorded message from National Disability, I asked to be placed on their do not call list (by recording)and hung up.I called the 360# (they had called times in 3 minutes)and got the same recorded message, this time I waited to speak with their agent (Amy). She told me that she was there to expedite my disability claim (i have no such claim) and would need to verify my information. When I told her that I had no claim she replied that someone in my household filed a claim of disability and she would need to verify my info.to process it.I asked her what my name was and she immediately hung up.I called the other # (541-948-8331), waited to speak to the agent and it was the same person (Amy).Once again I asked how she got my # and to verify who I was, if she really was calling about a disability claim then she would have this info in front of her. Again she immediately hung up.

I received a phone call on my cell phone from 414-914-8941 for the past 3 days. They called and asked me about my social security benefits. I do not receive social security benefits and informed them of that the 1st time they called. They called 2 more times. During the 3rd phone call I asked the young man what company he represented and he replied, "National Disability". I asked for his web site and he hung up.

I am not sure which category to file this report under however, we keep getting these calls from someone

named Scott who claims to work with the Government and wanting to get information from both me and

my husband stating that if we give them information such as our social security numbers, etc that they could

help us get up to $2700 month in disability. However, when my husband or I turn the conversation around and want information from them, they hang up on us. I called the numbers and got someone by the name of Amy and again, when I refused to give her any information, they hang up. When I got ready to ask her for them not to call here again, she hung up. To me, they seem to be scamming by stating that they work for the government and stating that they can get you this money, but this is just not a way to operate any type of business by hanging up on people. They have been calling from two different numbers. The first is (636)549-7980 and the (636)549-7981.

Thank you
