This company was in charge of collecting my outstanding student loans. My student loans have been paid off for years, yet this company continues to steal $400+ a year out of my taxes still. Every year since they’ve been paid off. They say they are collection fees. By the time the check was sent to pay off my loans(1 week) it had incurred another $1.36. Therefore claiming we have to pay another $400 collection fee every single year. This has gone on several years and it’s faudulant. They refuse to let us pay that $1.36 interest off so they are not able to steal another $400 next year intercepted out of my tax return. We’ve spent hours on the phone with these [censored] and they are running a huge scam. I’m sure millions of people are having this same problem. Please help me. I shouldn’t have to pay thousands of dollars in debt collection fees when I have zero debt. At the very least, help me be able to pay the $1.36 accrued so this stops happening. We offered to pay the entire balance including the $400 collection fee to get rid of them and then why the IRS check comes to them, they can just reimburse us. They wouldn’t do this either. Please help me. It’s 6.5% interest a day. Please help.
