I had extensive work done outside my property in April 2020. In June of that year, I wacontacted me in persons contacted by a neighbor of mine who is a relative of the main scammer I encountered in January of this year. That neighbor informed me that touch-up needed to be done on my driveway and I paid him after he performed the paving of my driveway. I did not know that this work was unnecessary as this was the first time I ever had my driveway paved. He did follow-up paving last December but the fee for that work was returned. However, twice in January 2021 Mr. Cooper contacted me in person and said payment of a five-year guarantee plus taxes were due. Although i was not sure this was proper business, I paid him both times as I felt I was being "bullied". I contacted the manager of the company that worked on my property last April and he said they have no record of an employee named "Douglas Cooper". He also said the work done in April 2020 was guaranteed for ten years. I filed reports with my local police department and the New York State Attorney General's office. I've tried contacting Mr. Cooper twice but the letters were returned as not known at this address.
