I have an ad for a car on Vancouver Craigslist at the moment. I had an enquiry about the vehicle via text message from 604 706 2493. The person said their name was Jessi. They couldn't talk on the phone because they were at work. We exchanged several messages back and forth about car details, and the person asked if I had "MVA paperwork" available. They provided me with the website myvinaudit.com and said it was an inexpensive way of getting information on the vehicle. I had been considering getting a car history report and I hadn't hand much interest in the vehicle so I bought a car history report from a different company and sent it to the email address that they provided upon my request. The email address they provided was [email protected] . When they received the report they said it was not the one they asked for and the one they requested was more detailed. I looked up the specific website they provided and the cost of the report was only $29.99, so I paid the fee for the report and then no report was provided. The money was collected through Paypal. The name of the Paypal account stated on the Paypal receipt was MAKnCO with an email address of [email protected]. I didn't hear anything further from the person who made the enquiry.
