This is not a new Scam. Actually there are several reports of the same scam on the FTC website and ironically the same name is used as a signature: Scott Potter. This scam preys on people who think they are being secret shoppers. You get a large check to purchase real gift cards and then send the gift card info to them and keep the change. Of course, that check IS going to bounce. Today, there were at least 10 of these packets, using the legitimate company logo of Whole Foods on them, sent around Winter Garden, Florida according to one of our USPS offices. Clearly people knew it was a scam and turned over the materials they received to the USPS. Perhaps they can go after them since they were sent through the U.S. mail system.

DO NOT be fooled by the legitimate company logo. (We also let ***** ***** know this is happening.) DO NOT cash the check even though it says Cashiers Check. Still bogus. It will bounce.
