Mystery Shopper scam received by postal mail. Included a check for $2,950, which was to be used to pay myself $500 for the assignment, and the rest was to be used to purchase ebay gift cards, which could be purchased at the stores listed in the letter. After purchasing these cards with the money the mystery shopper may or may not have received when he/she deposited or cashed the enclosed check at their bank, they were then supposed to purchase the gift cards then scratch off the gift card numbers on the back of each card, and email "Robert Wilson" @ MysteryShoppingInc.com the photo of each gift card, including the scratched off gift card number on the back of the card.

Signed up on a fake replication website for a mystery shopper, was sent a $2,950.00 check to cash, the first red flags were the sender was not mystetyshopper inc., instead it says HCA Healthcare Inc., while the check is from Martins Point Healthcare Inc. The prompt in the letter is straight forward. Asks you to buy $2,450.00 worth of Ebay gift cards after deducting your "payment" of $500. They want you to also note basic info that seems to be just for sh*** and giggles about the teller, their name, and if they questioned the reason you were getting so many cards. I get that this may be of interest to someone somewhere to see if stores can prevent scamming through cards, however the checks and names not lining up makes it seem like a check fraud operation, and you are the one being used to cash a fraudulent check, convert almost all of it to Ebay cards and send back to this fake company.
