I have recently been on a job search on various job search sites and my resume is posted on a few of them. When I got an email about a job as a mystery shopper the first thing I thought was cool. In order to receive my first assignment I needed to provide my mailing address phone number and email address. A month passes by and all of a sudden I receive this check in a priority mail envelope with an introduction and instruction on what to do with the check. When I read the letter there were discrepancies in the commission/payment that the said to deduct. I was going to send an email about this issue but something made me look up the website connected to the email([email protected]) that I was supposed to send my first assignment information. This started to bother me a bit so I had my wife read it and she started noticing some grammatical errors (she was an English major in undergrad) while she was reading I found that the website was for sale, this probably means that the email is fake. Long story short, I let my wife read the email that was originally sent to me and she actually couldn't believe that I did not see all the errors in the email. So if you receive any solicitations for employment and the email is full of sentence structure and grammar errors then its probably a scam. If you get an envelope in the mail with what looks like a check but the letter accompanying it looks like it was printed at Kinkos and the instructions are poorly written; then its most likely suspect.
