The person contacted me via text message looking for some welding repairs. I have recently started a new welding business. They had several items they wanted repaired including patio chairs, table and welding a ladder on a truck. I quoted a rate of $45 per hour and they said they wanted their personal driver to bring the items to me for a inspection and estimate. They requested my address and i provided that information. They then told me that they wanted to pay by credit card. They wanted me to charge them 1800 for a deposit and estimate for repairs and $3650 that I would pay to the driver as a direct deposit to their account. I refused and they asked me to help them several more times before I told them to never contact me again.
