I was e mailed directly with an advertisement to make "cheap and easy cash being a secret shopper." I sent in some of my personal information (excluding ssn#)

I received a check from the same company approximately 2 weeks later in the amount of 2,780.99, requesting that I cash the check at my financial institution and return the entire amount to the company except for 170.00, which was mine to keep.

I believe this is a fraudulent company as I have been able to find no credible information about them.
