We ordered 4 "Mineral Crystal Coffee Mugs" that claim to hold between 10 and 17ozs of liquid. Product is described on the website as "From geode to mug" "Whether your mug was once a chunk of jasper or a shard of onyx, it’s been meticulously carved and shaped by artisans who know their minerals." The website also includes a writeup on the properties of quartz. See ********************************************************************************...⇄ Only 2 of 4 mugs ordered actually arrived, with several delays. Each holds less than 8 fluid ozs (versus 10-17ozs on website). One of the 2 mugs had or developed a giant crack in the metal lining the first time hot water was added, and the mugs are clearly painted resin or plastic, not rock, geodes, onyx, quartz, or jasper. When we contacted the company for a refund, they said "real quartz ore is toxic when heated. Ours is a replica." The company offered to refund our purchases if we paid for return postage to:
