This company contacted a vulnerable elderly woman to tell her her doctor ordered a back brace that she needed. They called continuously over the course of almost a year to pressure her into accepting the delivery. She informed them multiple times she would need to speak with her doctor because she was not aware of this. The company collected more information each time by being facetious with her. She then received a back brace in the mail, no doctor’s order, no medical necessity for the brace. She had never even been fitted for a brace nor required it at all. The physician informed her that this was a fraudulent scam. On the invoice the location is different from the return slip information. I will be filing an exploitation report with APS and the local police prior to returning. No charges have been attached to an account yet. When asked how is this even billed with no order, they said Medicare.
