A person representing Your Insurance Group came to my door, in a complex that posts signs of NO SOLICITING, and without an introduction as to who he was asked me to verify if I was the person he had on a form he showed me. He said I had asked for information and he was here to provide it. When he said that it was for term life insurance for burial services by the State red flags started waving. When I told him I wasn't interested his tone became quite curt and unfriendly--hardly good customer service for someone trying to interest me in a product. He insisted that the form was filled out in my handwriting and asked if I was of a certain age. At that point I asked him for the form and took a picture of his ID badge which said he was a licensed representative. Regardless of whether at some time in the very long ago past I did legitimately fill out a form requesting information, I see no reason why someone needs to come to my door without an appointment to try to sell me something and then have a huge attitude towards me when I tell them I'm not interested. The approach was very scam like based on experiences I've had in the past with scammers. If you Google this company you will find a listing that says they aren't a scam. If that's the case, they need to provide much better customer service training to their reps.
