A man keeps calling my 93-year-old mother telling her he is with a company called "My Direct Tech" and that she has "hundreds" of viruses on her computer. He needs payment of $400 - $500 to rid her PC of them. I cleaned her PC a week ago and scanned it after the guy had called to find it was still absolutely virus-free (plus she has AVG running on her machine.

I had my mother get a phone number the next time he called back and a message plays saying they will return your call - the number is 855 701 8233.

This is clearly a scam.
