I signed up for and bid on and won online auction. The site then tried to make be pay to a 3rd party acct., without providing any info such as vin#. When I asked questions to try and verify info my acct was denied and deleted. All Im Saying is be careful. Why would a contractor have you pay an individual directly. How would they get paid.

This was an attempt to steal money and possibly also identity theft. I was in the market to purchase a boat, we found a boat on this auction site www.mwusrepo.com. We won the auction and were sent an invoice with a name of the lienholder and the bank routing account number to send the wire.

I checked with the Colorado State website and this business is not registered. I also called in case I missed something.

I requested a vin number which is actually a hull number. The number they sent me did not match the boat we were to supposedly purchase. I called the FL DMV and gave them the number listed on the boat pictured. They were able to pull up the registered owner, the title did not have a lien therefore losing it to foreclosure would be unlikely and it did not match the hull number I was given. The hull number they emailed me matched a different boat that did not fit the description on the website or the invoice.

I was also able to locate the person listed on the invoice they sent me. The name and address of this person was real, I found a number on the internet and spoke to this person. She didn't own or have a boat on her property.

In order to register on their website to participate in an auction I had to upload my drivers license and give the last 4 of my social. I'm guessing this will allow them to use my identity for some type of identity theft on top of them trying to scan $24k from me.

Supposedly a Repo company that’s fake and they ask for all kinds of personal information…. Then they attempt to get you to bid on big ticket items (cars and boats) and have you direct deposit the bid purchase price not there account….

Supposedly?I've bought a boat from them. They are legit. I guess you never bought a repossession before. It is normal to be asked for some personal information. I bet you didn't opened a bank account either...or you are a local dealer who wants to [censored] their reputation
