I received a call from a rep ( Melvin, then Mason) claiming to be a debt collector. They wanted me to make a payment over the phone. I asked the name of the creditor and the amount etc. and the rep refused to give me the information, claiming that they were unable to disclose info to me because they could not confirm that I was the person they are trying to reach. The payment arrangement seemed odd pay $100.00/ month now and $800.00 later. Once I questioned this arrangement he stated that I could verbally agree now and he would change it in the system later. I have not received any notices about unpaid debt. I try to do the right thing, and take care of any unpaid debt, but I do not feel comfortable sending money to an unknown party, with no remedy for a refund if it is really a scam. I called ScamPulse.com and they confirmed that this is a scam, and "Mutual Resolution Group" is not licensed to perform debt collection services.
