Scammer shows beautiful golden retriever puppies for sale on his website. Price is around $800 or $850 with shipping. Website looks legitimate and asks questions about the buyer's home and experience with dogs. Many testimonials are shown, but there is no way to contact the references because they are all fake. Payment is demanded up front after signing a legitimate looking contract. All contact is via e-mail and the scammer responds quickly, giving many reassurances that he is legitimate. Payment is only accepted by Zelle or CashApp. Once the first payment of $500 went through, I tried to call, but the phone number on the signed contract had been disconnected. I told the scammer I did not want to pay the balance until we had a brief video call where I could see the puppy. He sent me an old stock video of puppies, dated three months before the alleged puppy was born. When I questioned this, he said the date stamp was wrong. Once I insisted on a live video call, he stopped responding to my e-mail messages completely. I asked him to call me as soon as possible to resolve this, but he never called. Then I asked him to refund my $500, but of course got no response to that. I have not heard from him again. When I Googled the name of the scammer and the phone number, I found other complaints against this individual regarding other puppy websites.
