I was puppy shopping online, and most interested in the Multipoo breed, typically $2-3K in price. I found this website, www.multipoosoflife.com. The site did not have pricing, so emailed an inquiry for the pricing. He emailed back a questionnaire to be filled out, to qualify me suitable to adopt. He was very particular about who he would sell to. I filled in the questionnaire and after he approved me, I was made an offer of $550 and he would cover the shipping as well. He said that he had a new littler coming.and needed to overhaul his breeding facility so he was giving me a special price. It was a bargain. So, I said yes, made the transfer of funds via my bank. Then, when the puppy shipped I was contact by shipper "The Globex Shipping". They advised that the puppy was detained in a layover at another city because the puppy was not in a proper travel case. I would need to pay for a proper pet carrier approximately. $2000, but it would be refunded when the puppy was delivered if I did not want to keep the carrier. Only a $50 rent fee. So I put the money on deposit. Next day the puppy did not arrive. I contacted the shipper and after checking he found that I needed flight insurance for the puppy or they would not ship. The insurance was totally refundable when delivered. So I made more deposits. Next day, the puppy was on hold again for more reasons that required more refundable deposits. All monies were required by bank transfers or Walmart money cards. I finally realized that it was scam, but I had lost $6000 by then. The seller and shipper were working together.
