I spoke with someone—whose name I’ve since forgotten—who offered me a service to purchase a course.

They asked for $150 to secure my spot. In the end, I decided not to buy the course, but they refused to refund my money, citing explanations that hadn't been provided at the start. I never signed a contract with them, nor was I ever given the terms regarding that deposit.
