Myself & 700+ other students paid Mary Awodele/Bukunmi Awodele amounts ranging from $3700-$5000 for a Tech Bootcamp on June 27th, 2022, after being under the impression that she had the proper credentials & certifications to lead us. It has been brought to light that Mary has falsified her previous work history, is blacklisted by numerous tech companies, and we, as a group, also discovered that the training materials provided to us were in fact, stolen and plagiarized from other individuals, companies, and organizations. MyTechBestfriend/MTBF as a whole is a fraudulent company who profits off of scamming common people, and there is irrefutable proof of the fact. Mary Awodele's company is not registered with the TWC (Texas Workforce Commission) as an educational institution. Since stealing our money, she has proceeded to delete various social media outlets and is only offering refunds ranging from 15-50% for select students, with no explanation as to why. Mary Awodele also threatens legal action for any students who make “disparaging comments'' about the company, which the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) has barred using contracts with non-disparagement provisions that barred consumers from writing or posting negative reviews online or that imported financial penalties while doing so.
