I applied to be a Secret Shopper for Walmart advertised through Survey Monkey, from HGTV site for 2018 home give away contest, that I was entering for twice a day, so I thought it might be legit.......I gave my email address. Later I received an email regarding me being interested in being a Walmart Secret Shopper, the email asked me for my name, mailing address and phone number............and on 6/04/18 I received a text message stating: You registered with us on SurveyMonkey for our upcoming Walmart Survery in your city. You have been selected for this week Walmart survey($300 per survey). Survey package was scheduled to deliver to your mailbox by USPS within this week. Acknowledge that you received the message and your readiness to start your survery. Mr. Robert Washington (Community Research Inc.) phone# 1.626.598.8293....Today I received USPS priority mail......inside a check for $1,870.00, pay: One Thousand Eight Thousand Seventy Dollars Zero Cents. So that was the first sign that the check was not legit......Bank on check is listed as: the Golden 1 Credit Union, P O Box 15966, Sacramento, CA 95852. It came with one page of instructions, on how two send money back to them, and who to send it to, which list two people (1) John Frigult - Receiver Location: Dallas, TX 75243 (2) Tom Jastram - Receiver Location: Dallas, TX 75243. First I was to do Walmart2Walmart Transfer ($740) and Second MoneyGram transfer ($740). Then send pictures of both receipt Wal-Mart receipt via email/text message to Email/Phone Number: [email protected] / (626) 598-8293. And of course I also was to shop and observe the service I received.....It's really ashame that people think it's ok to cheat and waste people time.
