I received an email out of the blue. It came from "Mr. Jackson Chukwuyem" at email [email protected] (however, at the end it says, "I do expect your prompt response. Email: [email protected]") It says, "Dear Friend, a customer of ours who died 15 years ago in Tsunami tragedy in Indonesia leaving behind an estate/capital (US$20M) in a Bank here where I work, till date nobody has come forward or put application for the claim.During the Bank private search for the late gentle man relatives your name and email contact was among the findings........" It's longer than that but says my surname matches the same surname as the deceased....You can see all of the grammar and other mistakes. In the end, it asks me to claim the funds, I'm "urged to come forward" to claim my $12,000, but I must respond via email with my telephone number and contact information.. This is an old scam.
