I worked with them for 4 months coordinating my life. I told them I was flying in and out and had to have a definitive date I could depend on. Over and over I asked to ensure there would be no issues. I was not given any contact information to call the movers. The office is closed over the weekend with no emergency contact number. I was left stranded no phone no movers showed up. No it wasn't the weather. I got no call to make sure everything went well. I tried to call first thing the Monday after and no answer. I sent an email, no answer. I tried Monday afternoon and got through. Was told they would call me right back. I got no call. I called again on Tuesday and Nicole started with an attitude. Was told they have not heard back from their movers. And when I asked about who was going to reimburse me for 2 days of work $500 for airline tickets, 3 nights in a hotel and a rental car. Not to mention my $700 deposit, I was told they never guaranteed the dates they were only tentative dates. Now, I had asked at least 10 times over 4 months about the dates being locked in and was told yes every time. Now, I am out $1700 and my belongings have still not been picked up and Moving Central inc will not call me.

This “company” took my check and basically never sent a truck on my moving day. When I called to ask they said it’s non refundable. I said, I don’t want a refund I want a truck. Never came. No one called. When I called she hung up and said it was my problem. Not the way business should be. They got 1000.00 of my hard earned money.

I’m not one to leave reviews, but I urge you to read this. I recently had to cancel my long distance (Tennessee to Oregon) move with Moving Central LLC and forfeit my large deposit due to extremely rude, unprofessional, and disgusting behavior towards me.

Jonah from quality assurance called me to complete an inventory checklist to make sure everything regarding the contract is up to date. His attitude towards me was demeaning (he constantly talked down to me and interrupted me- I could barely get a word in), but I continued with the appointment and gave him the benefit of the doubt.

However, finally, he gave me an updated quote. After only adding 8 large boxes (and being told that a few of my items like
My desk and dresser were “larger than industry standard”) the cost of my move increased by DOUBLE.

I consider myself a non-confrontational person, and even with my quiet demeanor Jonah’s attitude was absolutely horrendous (and scary for me as a young woman). He raised his voice at me multiple times, told me I didn’t know what I was talking about, that he bet I’ve “never moved before”, interrupted me, talked to me like I was stupid, and was overall an absolutely horrible employee and “quality assurance” agent. I did not once raise my voice at him, and he continued to berate me.

Overall, DO NOT use this company. Not only do they have some shady practices, but Jonah alone was enough to make me question their credibility and made me cancel the move. Jonah should be disgusted with his behavior, and I would rather spend thousands elsewhere than save a little bit of money by using a company that has employees like Jonah.

I'm sure this company has paid people or they themselves have put these reviews up here. I set up my move with Chris. He put all of my items on the inventory. The day of the move the guy tells me that he has to charge me 3 times the quote because they things that are on the inventory are much more than the allotted space. Including my motorcycle which they have year make and model. I called to speak to them because they have an estimate guarantee. Layla Hasaan who is the dispute manager told me that the things that are on the inventory are standard things. I verified that I have standard things and she stated "well there's nothing I can do, I'm not giving you a refund!" She hung up the phone shortly after. Chris, who set up my quote no longer works there after termination because he was "telling people the wrong things". This is unfair to customers because those "wrong things" add up to thousands of dollars. I started with a quote of $2,602 and ended with $6,000. Chris advised my bike did not have to be crated. The moving guy stated that there is no carrier that will not crate your bike and that was another $1,200 charge.

After speaking to Ms. Hasaan she told me that there was nothing she can do about my refund under any circumstance. Unfortunately her contract at the very bottom states "I WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND OF MY DEPOSIT UNLESS MANAGEMENT APPROVES OTHERWISE. IN TURNING DOWN OR DENYING SERVICE I WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND OF MY DEPOSIT UNLESS MANAGEMENT APPROVES OTHERWISE."

All in all this company has a despicable demeanor and will refuse to give you your hard earned money back. I paid with check and could not get my money back.

I had a contract for 4/30 -5/1 to move my items From Ohio to Raleigh North Carolina. I spoke with a representative named Chris who told me they would be there on April 30 they will call and let me know two days prior what time they would be there. Two days prior came I called Chris four times with no answer. I then called moving centrals 1-800 line and I was told the drivers would be there before 5 PM on the 30th. The 30th came and went I receive no call so I called May 1 I was told by Angela that one of the drivers had a death in the family that’s why they couldn’t come on the 30th. I asked her what time will they be there on the first she said didn’t know exactly she would contact dispatch and let me know. I called back again she said if I don’t receive a call from the driver by 430 to call back. I never received a call from the driver so I called back the phone line were dead and they said they wee closed. I pay $680 deposit to get no service! this company is liars and scammers they will not deliver your stuff until 30 days after your move date which was never mentioned in my original quote they say anything to get your money! Very unprofessional and fraudulent! I spoke to Maya i’m up until midnight to come pick up your stuff that’s a complete joke! Never use moving central! I’m in the process of litigation!

I was looking for full service movers and contacted various vendors from a google search and targets ads I had seen through instagram. When I had a voicemail from this company and I called back to get a quote. I had talked to 3-4 legitimate prior and everything in the initial intake was normal. The representative had a no pressure tactic and gave a quote right away. I decided to go ahead with them and put a deposit down. I was told that dispatch would contact me about setting up delivery times. Three days prior to my move I hadn't heard anything, I called the main office number and was told that they would contact me tomorrow. When I didn't hear back from them I called/texted the rep and he told me someone would reach out to me. I got a call that Friday and they said they were working on it and they were 90% sure I would have pickup on Saturday.I then got a call by my rep saying they needed to do a complete inventory to confirm the truck size. After we went through the list I was informed they needed a large truck and my quote was increased to another $1,500. It was still cheaper than 2 quotes I had so while I was upset I thought the surcharge I would have to pay to move so soon would equal out to this price. After calls and texted I got a notification at 5 PM CST On Friday that they were coming on Sunday and I would get a call tomorrow to go over everything. On Saturday afternoon when I hadn't heard back I called and was put on hold while they contacted dispatch. I was told yes I was confirmed, she was quick to end the call and I kept asking questions about how would they contact me or if they needed directions. I waited for my three hour window for my moving van and even an hours after and they never arrived. I emailed the after-hour account, sent a chat through the companies website, called all main office number and left a message, and I texted the two people I had business cell phone to. I never received a response or call back, even the next day. I called my credit card company and got the charges reversed.
