Tried to charge $180

Thought this was official USPS. Was not and said we need your payment information to verify identity. Did not say anything about charging funds then tried to charge my bank account $180. Luckily I did not have enough funds and calling bank as well. Do not use this form or online service it is not connected to USPS!

Moving, so went online to change address and this website popped up. The website does say it will charge $1.10, but then charged $180.

Pretends to be the USPS and charges $179.95

I was trying to change my address and thought I was on the USPS website. They even had the eagle logo. They asked to verifying my identity using my credit card which I know the USPS also has a small fee. Then I got a FRAUD ALERT message from my bank and luckily chase prevented it from going through. Now they know where I live and I need a new credit card. I don’t know how this is legal.

I was trying to change my mailing address and the website I used was most likely a scam. Movemyaddress.com. I didn’t realize it until I had pressed submit. It gave me an error message saying insufficient funds. I’m worried they have all of my information now.
