On 1/6/21 my computer froze and started talking loudly to me - telling me to call this number to take a virus off my computer or I would lose everything on my computer. I did and was talked through how to get the tech on my computer to take care of things. After 30-45 minutes he told me that I needed to pay him $249.99 just to get the virus off but then told me that I needed to pay $799 by check - and let him take a picture of the front and back of the check.  Which this would solve my problems for a lifetime. I did this. (I was able to get the check stopped the next morning before it cleared). During the 2.5 hours the tech was working on my computer - it doesn't appear that he really did anything - except just move things around. (My brother, a professional IT guy got it all cleared up and fixed in 45 min).

Everyday since, I have been getting 1-5 calls from a variety of phone numbers in AL and in TX - claiming that they are following up with me from my tech support call. Most of them I am able to ignore and block the numbers, the others I hang up on. My case ID with them is ************
