I received a notice from the credit bureaus that Mountain Run Solution Collections had placed a collection account from Maltronics Brinks Alarm company for $440 on my credit report. I called Mountain Run Solution and was told the account had been opened in July of 2020 and closed for non-payment. I explained to the collection rep that I never opened an account with Brinks and the account was not mine. He hung up! I called back and spoke with the manager who claimed I had signed a contract under the name of a restaurant called Blu Seafood and Bar in Durham, NC. She correctly told me the last four digits of my social security number and the address of the restaurant. I told the manager I never owned a restaurant or entered into a contract agreement with Brinks. I told the manager that I don't reside in NC, I live in Maryland. She was rude and highly disrespectful. I asked her to send me a copy of the contract to my Maryland address.

I took the information they provided and filed a Police Report. I googled the restaurant and was able to locate the owner whose name is T** L****. He said the restaurant had been closed for several years. He claimed that he never entered into a contractual agreement with Brinks. I was able to contact the current owner of the new restaurant at that location. He just opened in January of 2021, and his alarm contract is with another company. This information was turned over to Anne Arundel County Police. I spoke with Det. O'Connell #2039 with the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Western District Detective Unit ###-###-#### ex 8019. He suggested I call Brinks.

I called Brinks and told them about the collection. I was told there were no records of my phone number or address. But when I gave them the name of the restaurant and the phone number given to me by Mountain Run Solution, the account showed up. He transferred my call to another Department but nobody answered.

I received a call from Carly who works a Mountain Run Solution. I provided her with the above information. I was told to get an attorney and prosecute the person responsible. Unbelievable! If you check with the Better Business Bureau under complaints, this company has a significant number of complaints identical to mine. This is the actual email from the Detective who is investigating my case.

I am taking over the case you reported on 1/23/21 in reference to a fraud, It does not appear your phone number was listed in the report, I was given your email by the school. If you could give me a call at ###-###-#### for a few questions. I have been researching Mountain Run Solutions and it appears they have a very bad reputation through the Better Business Bureau.
